Winning entries, year-by-year
Click on a photo below to go to a page with a list of all the ILDA Award winners for that year. The list will include Artistic, Technical, Career and special Awards. Pages for recent years usually have links to YouTube videos of the winning entries, as well.The photos below represent an Award winner from that year, usually the first place Laser Photography winner. (Award photos are not available for 1999 and earlier.) The location listed is where the Awards were presented at that year's ILDA Conference.
Statistics about winners
At the bottom of this page, below the Award photos, is information with statistics about ILDA Award winners, including a list of all-time winners and a downloadable spreadsheet of winners.
* There was no ILDA Conference in 2005, so the 2005 Awards were presented at the 2006 ILDA Conference. Similarly, the 2006 and 2007 Awards were presented at the 2007 and 2008 ILDA Conferences. This situation was fixed by skipping the Awards numbering for 2008, so that the 2009 Awards could be presented at the 2009 ILDA Conference.
Statistics about Awards and winners
The ILDA Awards began in 1988. The most recent Awards year discussed below is 2025. This reflects 37 years that the Awards have been given (there are no 2008 Awards for reasons listed here).
Artistic and Technical Awards
Over these 37 Awards years, there have been a total of 1,592 artistic and technical Award winners. This is an average of 42.6 winners each year.
168 different companies and individuals have won Awards. Almost all are ILDA Members (or were Members at the time they entered the Awards). For a few joint Awards, non-members are also listed. Those who have won 10 or more ILDA artistic and technical Awards from 1988 through 2025, are:

Career and Special Achievement Awards
The Excel spreadsheet does not include two other major ILDA Award categories.
Over the 37 awards years up through 2025, there have been 27 Career Achievement Award recipients, and four Special Achievement Award recipients. Click the appropriate link for a list of winners in each category.
